Growing up in rural south Alabama Mark Green learned the value of hard work and solid core values. At 16, his first job in construction was checking out tools to tradesmen on a local paper mill construction site. He continued working in construction during summer and winter breaks through out high school and college learning valuable skills he still uses today. After graduating from Auburn University in 1988 with a degree in Building Science, Mark moved to Huntsville Alabama working for a large specialty contractor. Starting as a project engineer, he eventually was given responsibility for all operations of the north Alabama division including project management and field operations.

In 1995 he along with two other industry insiders formed Specon Systems, Inc. While involved in all aspects of the company his primarily responsibilities have been project management and field operations. This has allowed him to take personal ownership in all projects and ensure the client’s expectations are met or exceeded. Understanding how important they are, over the last 30 years he has been focused on building and maintaining professional and personal relationships with customers, contractors, vendors and employees. Those relationships have helped make Specon Systems the trusted and respected contractor it is today.

After selling his ownership in January of 2025, Mark’s current responsibilities are managing the day to day operations of the Huntsville division. He is still personally involved in all projects and is focused on maintaining the industry relationships he’s made while building new ones in the future. His goal is to help the new ownership team reach their professional goals and visions for the future of Specon Systems, Inc. while maintaining the core values and trust that has made Specon so successful for the last 30 years..
